The Best Cafes in Canmore for Getting Work Done

For adventurous photographers, small startup teams and groups of executives from Calgary and Edmonton, Canmore is the perfect place for working professionals and artists alike to retreat, be in solitude and get work done.

We host corporate groups in our mountain homes year round, as they make great spaces for team-building and focused work retreats. We know from experience that sometimes the best thing for our creativity and motivation is simply to change our scenery. That’s why we’re sharing our top recommendations for cafes and spaces in Canmore to meet over coffee, borrow some wifi and get things done.

Whether you’re a photographer looking for a spot to edit after a successful shoot or a team looking for a quiet place to meet outside of the house or hotel, you will find the tip you’re looking for here! These are the best cafes to work from in Canmore.

Eclipse Coffee Roasters

If freshly roasted pour over coffee is what you fancy, Eclipse on Bow Valley Trail is your spot. In addition the their rotating menu of coffee, they’ve got a few tables near the bar as well as an open seating and working space in the back of the cafe. This space features five tables, varying in size, seating 2-6 people and a bar that seats up to 8. There are also two large chairs that face a window and make for an especially great meeting spot for two. Other perks include solid wifi, plenty of outlets, tasty treats, sandwiches and plenty of good lighting.

Beamers Coffee Bar (The Shops of Canmore)

Beamer’s has been serving up coffee in Canmore since 1994 but their brand new location is fresh and modern! In The Shops of Canmore on Bow Valley Trail, this spot is well-lit and features a bright, clean design. For seating, you have plenty of options including 2-person tables and the cozy couch next to a fireplace.

Now, here’s the real kicker! This Beamer’s location features a free, private, bookable meeting room that seats up to 8! You can check its availability and book a slot with the staff members. As a courtesy, they request that each guest makes a purchase.

There you have it! Those are our two top recommendations for cafes to get work done in Canmore. Another space worth mentioning is Fusebox. Fusebox is a coworking space with a meeting room available for booking. We also like Communitea Cafe for meetings over lunch, though it can get quite busy so it’s not ideal if you need a quiet space.
