While you may be concerned about having nothing to do when everyone is out on the slopes. Many resorts actually have a wide range of interesting activities to enjoy both on and off the mountains. There’s everything from snow tubing parks and snow shoeing, to simply taking the gondola up and enjoying the scenic views.

Our Best Ski Resorts for Non Skiers Near Banff
Mount Norquay
Mount Norquary is located only 10min from Banff. The Ski hill offers more than just skiing terrain. They have a tubing park! Riding on an inflatable tube, race down Alberta’s longest tube lanes and the magic-carpet will conveniently carry you back to the top!
This experience is unique and fun for anyone! Tickets rang from $42-$28 CAN.
Sunshine Village
Many people don’t know that you can actually take the Sunshine Gondola up to the Sunshine Village and snow shoe! The recommended spot to snow shoe is called sunshine meadows. Here you can experience epic mountain views, deep fluffy powder and a full day of adventure.
You will need to purchase a gondola ticket and ride the gondola to the top. Once you are there you will be able to pick your own path. You can rent snow shoes and gear right at sunshine!
Lake Louise
Lake Louise is iconic to the Canadian Rockies. There is multiple activities they offer in the Lake Louise area for non-skiers. Anything from hiking, snow shoeing, skating and simply taking the gondola up to take in the beautiful views!
Our favourite thing to do for non-skiers is to go skating on Lake Louise and than snow shoe up the lake side trail for some stunning views. Finish off at the Lake Louise Chateau for a warm Hot Chocolate.
